Continued Professional Development
Continuing Professional Development at Seven Stories
Welcome to the Seven Stories training programme for Teachers, Nursery staff and Librarians. Seven Stories is the first museum in the UK dedicated to Children's Books.
Children's books have the ability to open the world for their readers. Developing a love of reading for pleasure in children can unlock their creative potential, help them understand the world, relate to events and people within it. Seven Stories is dedicated to sharing the richness, diversity and innovation of children's books with adults and children alike, to increase confidence, inspire success and to create treasured memories that last.
Whether you are just beginning to source a collection of books or wish to expand and refresh the range of books you currently use in your work, Seven Stories CPD programme offers a range of opportunities for you. We provide training and development for all practitioners working with children, including teachers, librarians, Children's Centre Staff, Private Day Nursery teams and childminders. All our training is immersed with our passion for children's books, our knowledge of classic and unusual titles and creative approaches to learning. You will learn about our creative approach to books and learning and take away personalised booklists. All sessions include a tour of the unique Seven Stories Visitor Centre.
We also provide tailor made training for your staff team, in a setting of your choice.
