All Aboard, Away We Go!

Are you ready for an adventure? Then Seven Stories new exhibition is just the ticket. Journey to Seven Stories for a great family day out and celebrate the best of children’ss books that keep us on the move.

Explore the exciting world of journeys and travel - from the heady heights of My Dad’ss A Birdman to a gentle outing with The Little Red Train, hop on board and Seven Stories will take you on ride of your life.

Hit the open road with Noddy and his Car and Maisy’s Bus and LOOK OUT! for Mrs Armitage on Wheels. Race through towns and countryside with Thomas The Tank Engine, and escape to the open sea with Little Boat. Make a splash and dive to the depths of the ocean with Dougal’ss Deep-Sea Diary or rocket to the moon with Roaring Rockets before you find The Way Back Home. Who knows, you might even spot an alien or two.

With original artwork from illustrators including Polly Dunbar, Simon Bartram, Michael Foreman and Lucy Cousins, this exhibition is set to thrill families of all ages. Visitors can also see original manuscripts by David Almond and Philip Pullman.

Robert Crowther, author of pop-up book Flight, commented: “For me it is really exciting to be a part of an exhibition at such a wonderful, unique venue. Seven Stories is a venture which I supported from the very beginning and it is great to see how it has developed over the years.”

And he’ss not the only one who’ss excited. Simon Bartram, author of Bob the Man on the Moon, added: “For anyone with an interest in children’ss books, Seven Stories is a joy. To leave uninspired would be almost impossible.”
