The Tiger Who Came to Tea
Seven Stories became custodians of Judith Kerr’s life’s work in 2008, constituting one of the most significant collections of artwork by a single illustrator in the Seven Stories collection.
In this exhibition, visitors have the chance to see Judith’s iconic artwork and have tea with a life-sized tiger.
What to expect
This touring exhibition was created as part of the 50th anniversary of The Tiger Who Came to Tea. First published in 1968, the book has been enjoyed by millions of children who have gone on to share it with their own children, and even grandchildren. It continues to sell millions of copies each year across the world.
There are 10 facsimile framed artworks, 3 text panels as well as accompanying props, including a 5-foot recreation of the Tiger himself, as well as a play. There are also dressing-up capes for children, and copies of The Tiger Who Came to Tea for visitors to enjoy.
