A Story-Driven Pop-Up With A Purpose
Two Tales will provide a dynamic space where children and families can step into stories, and unlock the magic of reading together. This brand new initiative aligns with the Seven Stories mission: to make books tangible, accessible and alive.
Much like our Visitor Centre in Ouseburn, Newcastle, Two Tales is a place where literature can leap off the page and inspire visitors to see reading as an adventure.

What to expect?
- Storytelling Spaces
- NEW ‘Adventure by Book’ Gallery
- Independent Bookshop & Cafe
- Creative Workshops & Activities
- Social and educational engagement
Why Two Tales matters
For the last twenty years, Seven Stories has been a treasure chest of imagination – a place where books aren’t just read but experienced. By transforming a vacant shop on the high-street into a hub of storytelling, we will be able to:
- Reach more children and families, ensuring access to books and creativity for all
- Boost literacy and confidence, especially among those with limited access to books
- Celebrate the transformative power of stories, showing that every journey – whether on the page or in life – begins with imagination
